$10 000 for electronic tablets

 Improved clinical services for people with autism

Recently, the Dixville Foundation had the great pleasure of presenting a check for $10,000 to the CIUSSSE de l'Estrie, CHUS, dedicated to the purchase of electronic tablets to the Adaptation-Rehabilitation Service for people with ASD.

Present at the photo shoot: Maxime Massignani, head of the ASD department, speech therapists-Claudine Charbonneau, Christiane Dupont and Laurie-Anne Picard. The cheque was presented by Daniel Fortier and Donald Warnholtz of the Dixville Foundation.

This amount, raised by the fundraiser launched during Autism Month, was a great success. We would like to thank all the donors who generously participated to make this project a reality.

The team of speech therapists have been using the tablets for a few months now for assessments, interventions and for loaning them to people with autism and their families to help them communicate, develop, and improve their social skills.
